FIRST AID FOR CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a serious condition where the heart cannot pump blood effectively. If someone shows signs of CHF, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, or swelling in the legs, immediate action is crucial. First, help them sit upright to ease breathing and loosen any tight clothing. Call emergency services right away. Encourage the person to stay calm and avoid exertion. If they have prescribed medication, like nitroglycerin, help them take it as directed. Monitor their condition while waiting for medical help, and be prepared to perform CPR if they lose consciousness.
